Adani Electricity supplies power to a large part of Mumbai, mainly the suburbs, serving around thirty lakh consumers. It took over the business from Reliance Infrastructure in 2018.

Mumbai's grid is unusual in India for how rarely it fails, the city has an islanding system meant to keep it running even when the wider grid trips, so a long outage here is genuinely uncommon and gets noticed immediately.
