About DCB Bank

Promoted by the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development, DCB Bank picked up its scheduled commercial bank licence from the RBI in May 1995, which places it among the new generation private banks of that decade. The head office is in Mumbai and the network runs to roughly 480 branches, weighted towards smaller towns rather than the metros.

Around 2.5 million customers, mostly retail, micro-SME and agriculture borrowers. Net banking, the DCB mobile app and UPI carry most of the everyday traffic, and the crush comes on salary days and at month end when EMI debits and transfers land together.
