About UP Scholarship
UP Scholarship, the Uttar Pradesh Scholarship and Fee Reimbursement Online System, is where students apply for pre-matric (Class 9-10) and post-matric scholarships and fee reimbursement. The Social Welfare, Backward Class Welfare, Minority Welfare and Tribal Development departments run it together, and NIC Lucknow built the portal.
Since session 2025-26, every student must first complete One Time Registration (OTR) with a mobile number and Aadhaar e-KYC. The money goes to a bank account seeded with Aadhaar, and its status can be checked on PFMS.

Take the final print An application is not complete until you take the final print and hand the hard copy to your institute before its last date.

Seed Aadhaar with your bank If the payment fails, visit your bank and get Aadhaar seeded to the account you gave.

Go through your institute Your school or college verifies and forwards your form online. If the portal is stuck, ask its scholarship desk whether your form has moved.

Track the money on PFMS Know Your Payment on PFMS shows the transfer even when the scholarship portal is slow.

See your district welfare officer Each district has a welfare officer for SC, OBC, minority and ST students, who handles scholarship cases locally.

Questions
Check our UP Scholarship card and the student reports beside it. If students all over Uttar Pradesh report trouble together, the portal is struggling under load. That happens most near a last date. For a lone failure, check the OTP and the Aadhaar e-KYC step on your side.
Last-date rush is the usual cause. Fresh applications, renewals and final prints all crowd into the same weeks of September to November.
The OTR step also needs a mobile OTP and Aadhaar e-KYC. If either service is slow, OTR stops even when the portal itself is up.

- Complete Aadhaar e-KYC.
- Note the OTR number shown and sent to your mobile.
Session 2026-27 mein Class 12 se upar ke fresh chhatron ke liye online aavedan 15 September se 31 October 2026 tak hai. Final print 2 November tak nikalein, aur hard copy 4 November tak sansthan mein jama karein.
Renewal wale chhatron ki antim tithi 15 October 2026 hai. Class 9 se 12 ki tithiyan portal ke home page par alag link mein hain.
Log in on scholarship.up.gov.in through Fresh Students Login or Renewal Students Login, whichever you applied under. For past sessions, the Status menu has separate Application Status pages from 2017-18 to 2024-25.
First, make sure your bank has seeded Aadhaar to your account. The portal asks every student to get this done straight away.
Then check the payment on PFMS through Know Your Payment, linked from the portal. For session 2026-27, the transfer windows run in December 2026 and January 2027.
For SC and General category students it is 14568, toll-free. OBC and minority students have their own department numbers, listed on our UP Scholarship helpline page.
