About SBI Card

SBI Card is one of India's largest credit card issuers, part of the State Bank of India group and listed on the stock exchanges. It runs a wide range of cards across shopping, travel, fuel and co-branded tie-ups.

Cardholders use its website and the SBI Card app to see statements, pay bills, redeem reward points, change limits, convert spends to EMI and track transactions. Since almost everything revolves around the billing cycle, logins cluster heavily around statement generation and the last two or three days before the due date, and again during festive sale periods when card offers are running.

If SBI Card isn't working

For a bill payment, wait before paying again Payments can take time to post. Keep the reference and check your statement, rather than paying twice.
Switch between the app and the website If the SBI Card app is stuck, try the website, or the other way round. If one is down the other often works.
Check OTP and network for login A missing OTP is often a network issue. Check your signal and wait a minute before requesting a new one.
Block a lost card immediately For a lost or stolen card, call the SBI Card helpline to block it straight away rather than waiting for the app.
Check the live status above If many people across India are reporting SBI Card right now, it is a wider problem and not just you.

Use the website instead of the app, or vice versa The SBI Card app and website are separate routes, so if one is down the other often works.
Pay the bill by UPI or net banking You can pay your SBI Card bill by UPI or net banking even if the SBI Card app itself is down.
Use SMS and IVR for basics Balance and simple services are available by SMS and the automated phone line without the app.

Bill payments can take some time to post, often a few hours and up to a couple of working days. Keep the payment reference and check before paying again, so you do not pay twice.

This is usually load or an OTP or network issue. Wait for the OTP for a minute, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, and try the app and the website one after the other.

A decline can be a limit, a security check, or a temporary bank-side issue rather than an outage. Check your limit and try again, and contact SBI Card if it keeps failing.
