About Railway HRMS
Indian Railways staff sign in to HRMS, the Human Resource Management System of Indian Railways, with their HRMS ID. It is built by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), and the APAR module for annual appraisals opens from the same login page.
Retired employees register on HRMS with their PPO number and date of birth. When the portal is down, logins, password resets by OTP and APAR all stop together.

The HRMS login page is tested by our status card at regular intervals, next to reports from railway staff in different zones. If many report the same failure, the fault is with HRMS, not your connection.
Login, OTP, APAR and retired employee registration all run on one portal, so an outage stops all of them. Use only https://hrms.indianrail.gov.in/HRMS, the address HRMS itself gives, and beware of fake HRMS sites.
If only your login fails, reset the password with Forgot Password, or call your zone's helpdesk mobile.
Click Forgot Password, enter your HRMS ID, date of birth and registered mobile number, and submit the OTP sent to that number. The new password needs 8 to 15 characters, mixing capitals, small letters, a number and a special character such as @ or #. It cannot repeat your last two passwords or contain HRMS, your name or your HRMS ID.
Open Retired Employee Registration on the login page and enter your PPO number and date of birth. If the mobile number shown is wrong or 0, click Register, enter your 10-digit mobile number and confirm it with the OTP.
Click Need Help for Login? on the HRMS login page and enter your IPAS ID, HRMS ID or mobile number. It shows your HRMS login ID, IPAS employee ID, department, designation, unit and registered mobile number.
Use Click here to access APAR Module on the HRMS login page. It opens the APAR module of HRMS at hrms.indianrail.gov.in/IRAPAR.
OTP sirf HRMS mein registered mobile number par aata hai. Number badal gaya ho to apne zone ke HRMS helpdesk mobile par baat karein, jo login page par diya hai. Agar bahut se karmchari ek saath shikayat karein, to samasya HRMS ki taraf se hai.
