About NTES
NTES, the National Train Enquiry System, is Indian Railways' official site and app for live train running status. Spot Your Train shows where a train is, and Live Station, Train Schedule and Trains Between Stations cover the rest of a journey plan.
NTES is designed and hosted by CRIS, the Centre for Railway Information Systems, and works in nine languages including Hindi, Tamil and Bengali. When NTES is down, train status searches stop loading or show stale timings.

Reload NTES A fresh reload fixes many blank train status screens.

Check the journey date Pick the correct train instance. Each date is a separate run of the same train, so a wrong date shows the wrong position.

Try the app or the site If the NTES website hangs, open the NTES app, or the reverse.

Change your network On a moving train the signal drops often. Try again once you have a steady connection, for example at a halt.

Our status card checks the NTES site and counts live reports from rail passengers. Many reports together mean NTES itself is down, not your phone.
When passengers everywhere report at once, the NTES server is having a technical issue and train status will not load until it is fixed.
Meanwhile, the RailOne app, which Indian Railways promotes on the NTES page, also shows train status. If only you are stuck, reload the page or try a different network.

NTES ka full form National Train Enquiry System hai. Yeh Indian Railways ki official train enquiry website aur app hai, jise CRIS ne banaya hai. Ismein train ka live running status, station ki trains aur train schedule dekh sakte hain.
NTES links to it. Under Useful Links, NTES has PNR Status, Seat Availability and Ticket Booking, which open the Indian Railways pages for those jobs. NTES itself is for train running status and timetables.
Not always. Indian Railways says NTES data is given on a best-effort basis and can change. Before you leave for the station, confirm the timing with the station or an authorised railway source.
