Niyo is working right now
There's nothing to notify you about. If it goes down later, come back and we'll let you know when it's fixed.
Our automated check runs from one or more locations and may miss in-app problems; reports come from users across India. We only call something "down" when users confirm it too. Here's how we check.

About Niyo
For Indians travelling abroad Niyo is mainly one thing, a card that does not add a foreign exchange markup on the spend. The company itself is Finnew Solutions, a Bengaluru fintech, and the accounts and cards behind the app are issued by partner banks rather than by Niyo.
Those partners have included SBM Bank India, DCB Bank and Yes Bank, which is why support routes differ depending on which product you hold. Usage is seasonal in a way most fintech apps are not, it climbs through the summer and end-of-year travel months and around the start of foreign university terms.

If Niyo isn't working
-
Read the live status above A national spike in the reports above means the fault is upstream. Nothing you change on the phone will help until it clears.
-
Card declined abroad Open the app and confirm international usage is on, the per transaction limit is high enough and the balance covers the markup. Then retry on a chip and PIN terminal.
-
Call from the registered number The partner bank helplines verify on your registered mobile and disconnect calls from any other line. On a foreign SIM, use in-app chat instead.
-
Force close and reopen Clear the app from recents and open it again. If login still fails, check whether it is only the app or the bank behind it by trying the partner bank's own channel.
-
Block the card immediately if unsure If a transaction you do not recognise appears, freeze the card from the app first and then report it to the partner bank.
Other ways to access Niyo
-
Use the partner bank's channels SBM Bank and DCB Bank run their own helplines and net banking, which keep working when the Niyo app itself is having trouble.
-
Carry a backup card abroad A second card from a different issuer is the practical answer to a decline in a shop, and worth keeping separate from the first.
-
Withdraw cash as a fallback If card payments keep failing, an ATM withdrawal on the same card often still goes through, since it takes a different authorisation path.
-
Use the verified contact list The verified Niyo contact details here set out which number belongs to which partner, so you do not waste a call on the wrong desk.
