Answer: No Karnataka SSP issues reported in the last 24 hours, and it responded normally at our last check on 24 Oct 2026, 4:05 AM IST.
Our automated check runs from one or more locations and may miss in-app problems; reports come from users across India. We only call something "down" when users confirm it too. Here's how we check.

About Karnataka SSP
The State Scholarship Portal (SSP) of the Government of Karnataka takes online applications for prematric scholarships (Class 1 to 10) and postmatric scholarships (Class 11 and above). The Centre for e-Governance built it for about 19 departments, including Social Welfare, Tribal Welfare, Backward Classes and Minority Welfare.
Approved scholarships are paid by DBT into the student's Aadhaar-seeded bank account. Social Welfare, Tribal Welfare and Backward Classes schemes also need an NSP OTR number.
23-day history
We checked 29 times over the last 23 days — healthy on 22 days, minor issues on 1 day. It typically responds in about 0.4s.
Dashed line is its usual 0.4s, measured over the last 14 days. Gaps are days with no timing data.

Questions
This page checks ssp.karnataka.gov.in and shows what other students are reporting. Many reports at once, especially near a department's last date, mean the portal itself is struggling. If you are alone, clear the browser cache or try another device.
Heavy traffic close to the application deadlines is the common reason, along with maintenance by the Centre for e-Governance. Try again early in the morning or late at night, and keep your documents scanned and ready so the form goes through quickly.
Use Prematric login for Class 1 to 10 and Postmatric login for Class 11 and above. New students first choose Create New Account on the SSP home page.
Yes, for schemes of the Social Welfare, Tribal Welfare and Backward Classes Welfare departments. Generate the One Time Registration number on the National Scholarship Portal first, then enter it in your SSP application.
SSP pays only into a bank account seeded with your Aadhaar. Check the seeding status through the NPCI link on the SSP home page, and seed or move it to the right bank through the Bharat Aadhaar Seeding Enabler if needed.
1902 handles technical problems on the portal for all schemes. For a question about a particular scholarship, ring the department that runs it; the numbers are on our Karnataka SSP helpline page.
