About Jeevan Pramaan

Pensioners prove they are alive each year through Jeevan Pramaan, the Aadhaar-based Digital Life Certificate (DLC) service of the Government of India. A fingerprint, iris or face scan generates a certificate with a Pramaan ID, and the bank, post office or treasury paying the pension receives it online.

You can make one at a Jeevan Pramaan centre or CSC, at the pension disbursing office, or at home with the Jeevan Pramaan face app. Most Central Government pensioners file in November, and those aged 80 and above can file from 1 October.

Go to your bank, post office or treasury The pension disbursing office can make the Digital Life Certificate for you with your fingerprint or iris.
Find a Jeevan Pramaan centre Use Locate a Centre on the site, or SMS JPL and your pin code, for example JPL 110003, to 7738299899.
Submit the paper life certificate Jeevan Pramaan is an extra option. The conventional life certificate at your disbursing authority still works.

Yes, if many reports land here at the same time. A single failed scan with few reports usually comes from the phone, the app version or the Aadhaar authentication.

Check the phone first. The face app needs Android 7.0 or later, 4 GB RAM, a 5 MP camera and the Aadhaar Face RD app from the Play Store. Old versions such as 2.75 are withdrawn and no longer work. For a server error, close the app and try again after some time.

It can be used only in India, as Jeevan Pramaan's FAQ states. Pensioners abroad have to submit the life certificate the conventional way to their pension disbursing authority.

Use the certificate download on jeevanpramaan.gov.in with the Pramaan ID sent to you by SMS. The downloaded certificate, the Jeevan Pramaan Patra, also shows whether it was accepted or rejected.
