About Swiggy

Swiggy is the other half of India's food delivery duopoly, founded in Bengaluru in 2014 and listed on the stock exchanges since 2024.

It has spread well past restaurant delivery. Instamart does quick grocery delivery, Bolt does very fast food orders, Dineout handles table booking, and Swiggy One bundles the lot into a subscription.

Order volume concentrates in the lunch and dinner rush, and peaks hardest on rainy evenings, weekends and big cricket nights, when a very large number of orders arrive in the same half hour.

Payment failed but money deducted? Do not repay. A debited but unconfirmed order is refunded, usually within a few working days. Check your orders and keep the reference number first.
Can't place an order? Update the app, clear its cache and switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. If many users report it above, it is a Swiggy side issue.
Order stuck or tracking frozen? Tracking can freeze during an outage while the order still comes. Check the order under Help and call the rider from the app.

Call the restaurant directly For a nearby restaurant, call them and order pickup or their own delivery instead.
