About Seva Sindhu

Karnataka's certificates, licences, welfare pensions, ration cards and many other state services are applied for on Seva Sindhu, the common citizen service portal run by the Directorate of Electronic Delivery of Citizen Services (EDCS). It is also the route for the state's guarantee schemes.

Each application gets an Application Reference Number, and an SMS follows at every step. Citizens log in and apply on Seva Sindhu 1 (Namma Seve), or go through a Grama One or other service centre, and Janasevaka brings some services to your door.

If Seva Sindhu isn't working

Compare with other districts Reports from many districts together point to the portal. A single failure points to one service or your login.
Retry the e-sign step If e-sign fails with 'Invalid transaction', open Seva Sindhu's e-sign instructions, follow them and submit the application again.
Log in with OTP If the password fails, use the OTP option or Forgot Password on the login screen.
Keep the reference number Your Application Reference Number checks status without logging in, even when the dashboard is slow.

Apply at a Grama One or service centre Service centres at district, taluk and village level submit Seva Sindhu applications through their own login.
Ask for doorstep delivery Janasevaka delivers selected citizen services at home, booked from the Seva Sindhu site.

When reports from across Karnataka rise together, the Seva Sindhu server is at fault. One failed form usually traces to the login, the e-sign step or that department's service.

Seva Sindhu carries services from many departments, so one service can fail while the rest work. Check the step that fails:

Login: citizens now sign in on Seva Sindhu 1, with a password or an OTP.
Fee payment: keep the payment reference and check the application status before paying again.
Status: the Application Reference Number shows progress without a full login.

If every service fails and reports rise across Karnataka, the Seva Sindhu server is down.

The e-sign step did not complete. Seva Sindhu asks you to view its e-sign instructions document and follow them, then submit again.

Use Forgot Password on the login screen to reset it, or log in with the OTP option instead.

Pay online on the portal by debit card, credit card, net banking or Paytm. Keep the payment reference and check the application status before paying a second time.

Certificates such as income, caste, domicile, birth and death, licences, ration cards, pensions, RTI filing, complaints and utility payments, besides the guarantee schemes.
