About Connect Punjab

Birth, death, caste, residence and pension certificates, fard copies and hundreds of other Punjab government services are applied for on Connect Punjab, also called the Punjab Connect or e-Sewa portal. It is run by the Department of Good Governance and Information Technology (DGG&IT), with the Punjab State e-Governance Society (PSeGS) behind the Sewa Kendras.

The same portal tracks applications, takes grievances and RTI requests, and books Sewa Kendra tokens and doorstep delivery. The state's newer DiGi Punjab portal links back to it for many of these services.

Questions

We test connect.punjab.gov.in and count what applicants report. A rush of reports from Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar and elsewhere means the portal is down. When only you are stuck, clear the browser cache or switch device and try again.

Check your account first. An account not used for 90 days must be re-verified with your name, date of birth and gender before it opens.

If you changed your mobile number, log in with the new one and link the old account to it. For other errors, Connect's own FAQ suggests clearing cache and cookies, or using another browser or device.

Choose Public Login and sign in with your password, an OTP, or DigiLocker. New users click Register, enter name, email and mobile number, set a password and verify the OTP.

Click Track, then Services, and enter your Application ID.

After logging in, Track, then Services, then the family member shows every application. The Action button there lets you view it, re-verify payment, print the receipt, resubmit, or download the certificate.

Log in, open Track, then Services, and pick the family member who applied. Click the Action button against the application and choose Download Certificate. To check a certificate is genuine, use Certificate Verification on DiGi Punjab with the Document Serial Number (DSN) printed on it.

Use Book Sewa Kendra Token on the home page, and check it later under Token Status. To pick a centre, open Find Sewa Kendra and choose your district.

An operator comes to your home for services such as adding a name to a birth certificate, Anand Marriage Act registration, a fard copy or affidavit attestation. Book the appointment, or ask a query, by calling 1076.

Use Lodge Grievance on the home page. To escalate one, log in, open Track, then Grievance, select it and click Escalate.

For a service delayed under the Punjab Transparency and Accountability in Delivery of Public Services Act, 2018, use RTS Appeal instead.

Log in, open Track, then Services, and use Re-verify the payment from the Action button of that application. Do this before you pay a second time.
