About PMMVY

Pregnant women and new mothers apply for maternity benefit on PMMVY, the portal of the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana. The Ministry of Women and Child Development runs the scheme under Mission Shakti. It pays Rs 5,000 for the first child and Rs 6,000 for a second child who is a girl, straight into an Aadhaar-linked bank or post office account.

On pmmvy.wcd.gov.in you can register yourself, track an application and its payments, and lodge a grievance. Anganwadi and ASHA workers file applications on the same system.
