Paytm Payments Bank is working right now
There's nothing to notify you about. If it goes down later, come back and we'll let you know when it's fixed.
Our automated check runs from one or more locations and may miss in-app problems; reports come from users across India. We only call something "down" when users confirm it too. Here's how we check.

About Paytm Payments Bank
Launched in November 2017 and headquartered at Noida, Paytm Payments Bank held the savings balances, wallets, FASTags and NCMC cards sitting behind the Paytm app. Vijay Shekhar Sharma held the majority stake, with One97 Communications holding the rest.
It no longer operates as a bank. The RBI cancelled its licence under section 22(4) of the Banking Regulation Act with effect from the close of business on 24 April 2026, and the High Court of Delhi then ordered the bank wound up, appointing an Official Liquidator who has exercised the powers of the board since 8 July 2026.
The domain now serves winding-up notices rather than banking services and the mobile app has been withdrawn. Worth being clear about one thing, the Paytm app is a separate company, One97 Communications, and it carries on through other banking partners.

If Paytm Payments Bank isn't working
-
Do not wait for the app to come back The mobile application has been withdrawn and the licence is cancelled. Nothing you do at your end will restore access, so the effort is better spent on the official claim route.
-
You do not need to file a depositor claim The winding-up notice treats every depositor's claim as already filed. Anyone telling you to submit a form, pay a fee or share an OTP to register a claim is running a scam.
-
Keep your own records Screenshots of the last visible balance, old statements, the registered mobile number and any transaction references are worth saving now, in case the liquidator asks for verification later.
-
Creditors have a deadline, depositors do not If you are a vendor or supplier rather than an account holder, the claim submission window matters and is published on the bank's own site.
-
Check the live status above This tracks whether the bank's notice page itself is reachable. The page loading has no bearing on the winding up, which continues either way.
Other ways to access Paytm Payments Bank
-
The bank's own notice page Winding-up orders, the liquidator's details and every update are published there. It is the only source worth trusting on timelines.
-
Write to the liquidator's office Concerns go to the official liquidator or nodal officer mailbox rather than to any former customer care number. Both addresses are on the Paytm Payments Bank contact page.
-
Creditor claim desk Vendors and suppliers submit through the dedicated clearance desk the bank has published, not by email.
-
Report anyone demanding money Recovery-fee approaches around a bank failure are financial fraud. The national cyber crime helpline on 1930 takes these reports, and the sooner the better.
