About Patta Chitta

Tamil Nadu's E-Services of Land Records portal, eservices.tn.gov.in, is where people view and print their patta and chitta. The Department of Survey and Settlement runs it, and the National Informatics Centre (NIC) built it.

The same portal shows the A-Register extract, the FMB sketch of a rural plot, Town Survey Land Register (TSLR) records for urban land, and the status of an online patta transfer.

If Patta Chitta isn't working

  • See if other Patta Chitta users report it A sharp rise in Patta Chitta reports means the portal is down for everyone. Try again later.

  • Start from the home page If a page says invalid access, go back to eservices.tn.gov.in and open the service from there.

  • Switch off browser translate Translate garbles the Tamil names in the extract. Turn it off and reload.

  • Try the other lookup If the patta number finds nothing, search by survey number instead, or the other way round.

  • Use TSLR for town land Urban plots sit in the Town Survey Land Register, not the rural chitta. Open TSLR Extract with the town, block and ward.

  2. Pick the district, taluk and village.
  3. Choose Patta Number for the full chitta, or Survey Number for the chitta with the FMB.
