About NGO Darpan

NGO Darpan, now titled NPO Darpan, is the portal where trusts, societies and Section 8 companies register for a Darpan Unique ID. It is run by the Voluntary Action Cell of NITI Aayog.

The ID is needed to apply for grants from Union and state ministries, to open and operate a bank account for a non-profit, and for FCRA and 80G work. The portal also hosts an NPO directory, a blacklisted-NPO list and links to ministry grant-in-aid portals.
