About eShram

The Ministry of Labour and Employment built eShram (e-Shram) as the National Database of Unorganised Workers. Construction workers, farm labourers, street vendors, domestic workers and gig and platform workers such as delivery and cab partners register with Aadhaar and get a permanent 12-digit UAN on an eShram card.

Registration is free and open all the time, with no last date. The card itself pays no money, but it links workers to schemes such as the PM Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan pension. Workers sign in with the UAN and date of birth to update their mobile, occupation or address, or do it at a Common Service Centre.

Switch browser or device If one browser keeps failing, open the portal in another browser or on another phone.
Keep the Aadhaar-linked mobile at hand Registration and profile updates send the OTP to the number linked with Aadhaar.

Other ways to access eShram

Register at a Common Service Centre A CSC registers you for free with your Aadhaar and fingerprint, even without a linked mobile. Find the nearest one on the CSC locator.
Use eShram on UMANG eShram services are also on the UMANG app, which can work when the website is slow.
File a grievance online If the helpdesk line is busy, raise the problem on the eShram grievance portal and track whether it is open or closed.
Call the helpdesk The verified eShram contacts list both toll-free numbers, the hours and the ministry office line.

Count the reports on this page. If workers and CSC operators from many states report at once, eShram has downtime or a technical issue. A single failure with no other reports usually comes from the OTP, the browser or the network.

Start with eShram's own checklist: refresh the page, clear the browser cache, and try another browser or device. Registration needs an OTP on the mobile linked to your Aadhaar, so a changed number stops it. If it still fails, call the helpdesk 14434 with the error message.

No. The eShram card never expires and needs no renewal, and the UAN stays the same for life. Nothing changes when you turn 60 either, but keep your occupation and address up to date.

eShram ke FAQ ke mutabik abhi sirf registration ho raha hai, card par seedha paisa nahi milta. Card se aap PM Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan jaisi yojanaon se jud sakte hain, jismein 60 saal ke baad Rs. 3000 mahina pension milti hai. Paise ke naam par registration fee maange, to mat dijiye.
