About e-District Delhi

Delhi residents apply online for income, caste and domicile certificates, ration card requests, old age pension and other state services on e-District Delhi, the citizen portal of the Government of NCT of Delhi.

The Delhi e-Governance Society under the Information Technology Department runs it, and NIC hosts it. Revenue, Food & Supply, Social Welfare, Labour and Higher Education are among the departments on it. When the portal is down, applications, tracking and certificate downloads stop.

Update your browser e-District Delhi's FAQ blames most loading failures on an old browser or a slow line.
Keep your application number Tracking, downloads and counter visits all need it, so note it right after you submit.
Check before you submit You cannot edit an application after final submission or remove a file once uploaded, so check everything first.
Register with verifiable documents If the portal cannot verify your document online, it deletes the profile within 72 hours. Register again with correct details.

Our status card tracks edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in and counts reports from people in Delhi. A burst of reports from across the city means the fault lies with e-District, not your phone.

When users across Delhi report at the same time, the e-District server is facing a technical issue. Give it some time before you retry.

If only you are stuck, e-District's own FAQ points to an outdated browser or a slow connection. Update the browser or switch networks, then log in again.

Click Track your Application on the home page and enter your application number to see where your request stands. If an objection is raised, the reason shows when you log in.

Once your application is approved, open Print/Download Certificate on the home page and enter the application number. The certificate carries a digital signature, and any office can check it under Verify your Certificate using the certificate number.

Click New User Registration and follow the steps. You do not need Aadhaar; other identity documents work too. For anyone under 18, a parent or guardian adds the child to their own registered account and applies from there.

Recover the profile with the mobile number and the document number you used when you registered. If that mobile number is no longer yours, contact the e-District team. The portal does not allow a second account with the same documents.

Log in to read the reason. For an objection, submit the missing papers at your Sub-Division counter, or post them to the SDM office with the application number written on the envelope.

Once rejected, an application stays closed, but you may apply once more with the right documents.
