Our ClearTax card checks cleartax.in and shows reports from other users. A jump in reports near the ITR deadline means the platform is under strain. If only one step fails, such as prefill, the Income Tax portal behind it may be the cause.
ClearTax files returns and pulls prefill data through the Income Tax Department's e-Filing system. If that portal is slow, ClearTax steps that depend on it fail too.
Check the Income Tax e-Filing status as well before you retry.
Wait and try again later, since prefill comes from the government e-Filing system. You can also enter the figures yourself from Form 16, Form 26AS and your AIS.
