About Clash of Clans

Clash of Clans, or CoC, is the village-building strategy game from Supercell Oy, the games studio based in Helsinki. You build a village, train troops, join a clan and raid other players.

The village is stored on Supercell's servers and not on your phone, so every session needs a working connection. During a maintenance break no one can get in. A Supercell ID is what keeps the progress safe when you change or lose a phone.

See if other CoC players report it A burst of reports from CoC players across India means the fault is with Supercell, not with your phone.
Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data A busy home network drops the game even with full bars. Move to 4G or 5G, or the other way round, and avoid playing on a moving train or underground.
Update, close apps, restart Get the newest Clash of Clans update from Google Play or the App Store, close apps running in the background, clear the cache and restart the phone.
Reinstall only after Supercell ID is connected Open settings and check that Supercell ID reads Connected. Then uninstall, restart the phone, reinstall, and log in to Supercell ID to load your village.

No. The game is closed to every player during maintenance, so no one can attack. Collectors and building work keep running. The Power, Hero and Clock Tower potions pause, and the paused building glows red afterwards - tap it and choose Resume.

Full Wi-Fi bars do not guarantee a steady link, because a home network can slow down when it is busy. Try a solid 4G or 5G connection instead. The message Client and server are out of sync points to a moment of unstable connection.

Use the email the Supercell ID was made with, look in spam for the verification code, and enter only the newest code. Three wrong codes in a row block new codes for 24 hours. Tick Remember me on this device so it does not ask the code every time.
