About Valorant

Valorant is Riot Games' tactical shooter, five against five, where teams buy weapons each round and each character has its own abilities. It is free to play and runs on PC.

Riot put servers in Mumbai for the region, which cut ping enough to make competitive play realistic in India, and a domestic tournament scene grew from that. A live connection and a Riot account are needed for every match. Peaks come on evenings and weekends and around act and episode updates, when everyone logs in for the new content.

If Valorant isn't working

'Error connecting to the platform'? Check status.riotgames.com, restart the Riot Client, and reboot the PC to reload Vanguard.
VAN error code? VAN 1 means restart the PC so Vanguard loads. VAN 68 or 81 is network or login, so check the Riot server status first.
High ping or lag? Set the correct region, Mumbai for India, close heavy apps and downloads, and flush DNS or use Google DNS.
Can't log in? If the Riot status page shows a server issue, wait it out. Otherwise check for updates in the Riot Client to repair files.
