Questions
This page tracks fortnite.com and counts Fortnite problems reported by players across India. Epic posts downtime, maintenance and fixes on @FortniteStatus and status.epicgames.com. If neither mentions an issue, look at your ping and connection.
Epic takes Fortnite servers down for maintenance around updates, and @FortniteStatus announces each one. If there is no maintenance:
- Restart the game and your router.
- Check your matchmaking region and ping.
- Install any pending game or console update.
Players in India join a matchmaking region from the game's settings. Set Matchmaking Region to Auto and Fortnite picks the region with the best ping for you; the number shown beside each region is your ping in milliseconds.
- Select your player icon at the top right to open the social panel.
- Open Settings, then the Game tab.
- Under Language and Region, change Matchmaking Region.
- Click Apply.
Epic recommends Auto, but you can try other regions if lag continues.
Ping depends on how far you are from the server region you play on. Compare the ping shown next to each Matchmaking Region, pick the lowest, and use a wired connection rather than Wi-Fi.
No, except where the law says so. V-Bucks are virtual currency, which Epic's refund policy does not refund except where the law says so. Purchases through PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo stores follow those stores' own refund rules.
Fortnite support runs through Epic Games Player Support in the Epic help centre. That link and @FortniteStatus are on our Fortnite helpline page.
