2. Call your bank on its card helpline too, or block the card in its app.
3. Ask about an emergency replacement card if you are travelling.

Visa works with your bank to send an emergency card, usually within 1 to 3 days. The same applies to a card that is damaged or compromised.

Make a reverse charge (collect) call to +1 303 967 1096 through the local operator. Calls from mobiles or hotel phones may attract charges, which Visa does not cover.

Visa takes emails through the Send us an email form on its contact page and replies within 48 hours. For anything about your own card account, write to your bank instead.

Contact the bank that issued the card, on the number on its front or back. The bank asks for the transaction details and handles the dispute under Visa's rules.

Treat it as a scam. Visa says it does not call or email cardholders asking for personal details. Share nothing, tell your bank, and report cyber fraud on 1930.
