About eCourts

Case status, court orders and cause lists for district and high courts are published by eCourts on its own official services portal, and there is no phone helpline for it. Those official links are listed here so you check your case on the genuine portal and not on a copy site.

Case data is free to view. For anything specific to your matter, your advocate or the concerned court registry is the correct point of contact, and no one should be charging you just to show a case status.

eCourts helpline — questions

No public helpline number is listed. eCourts works through its case status portal and the eCourts Services mobile app, with [email protected] for the e-Committee, Supreme Court of India.
Use the services portal linked here and search by CNR number, case number, party name or filing number. The CNR is the most reliable, since it is unique to your case across the country.
Official services portal par CNR number se search karein, ya case number aur party name se. CNR sabse sahi tarika hai.
The Case Number Record is a unique 16-character code given to every case in the eCourts system. Your advocate or the court filing counter can give it to you, and it stays the same even if the case moves.
Case data is uploaded by the individual court, so corrections happen there. For data availability or updation problems, the portal directs you to the Central Project Coordinator of the High Court with jurisdiction over that court.
Judgments and orders can often be viewed and downloaded from the portal, but a certified copy is issued by the court itself on application. The portal copy is for reference rather than formal use.
Treat it as a fraud. Case listings and orders come only from the court, no one can alter a status through the portal, and eCourts is a free public service with no payment for checking a case.
