About CGHS
CGHS, the Central Government Health Scheme run by the Health Ministry, has a national toll-free helpline, 1800-208-8900, open 24x7 in Hindi and English. It takes questions on CGHS services, cards, claims and grievances.
For in-person help, your parent Wellness Centre assists with registration and the portal. Grievances are filed online under Grievance Desk after beneficiary login, and each one gets a Grievance ID.

Log in as a beneficiary, open Grievance Desk and choose Beneficiary Grievances. Pick the type, such as medicine, card, Wellness Centre or empanelled hospital, add the city, centre, date and details, upload papers and save. You get a Grievance ID, and updates come by SMS.
Open the Grievance Detail page under Grievance Desk and click View Detail. If you are not satisfied once it is closed, the Appeal button works for 7 days after closure.
A changed mobile number can be updated on the portal if you still have the old number, or at your Wellness Centre if you do not. For other wrong details, missing records or an expired card, contact the CMO in-charge of your Wellness Centre or the Card Section of your city's Additional Director office.
For pensioners, routine claims are settled within about 30 days. Claims needing higher approval take up to 45 days in Delhi and 60 days elsewhere. A pensioner must submit the claim within six months of discharge; a later claim needs a request for condonation of delay.
