Go first to the business office that issued your policy, then to the Regional Office grievance officer. Both are found from your policy number on NICL's grievance page. You can also register online through NICL Grievance Redressal.

Unresolved complaints go to [email protected]. After that, IRDAI's Bima Bharosa (call 155255) and the Insurance Ombudsman are open.

Email [email protected]. NICL also warns that IRDAI does not sell policies or announce bonuses, so report any such call to the police.

NICL says its official calls may come from its 1600 series calling number, listed on its Contact Us page. Banks, insurers and other regulated financial firms use the 1600 series for service calls.
