About UIDAI / Aadhaar
The Aadhaar helpline is 1947, toll-free, and the written route is [email protected]. Both belong to the Unique Identification Authority of India, whose head office is on Bangla Sahib Road in New Delhi, with regional offices in each part of the country.
Grievances and feedback are filed and tracked on the myAadhaar portal, and neither of those needs a registered mobile number. Have the Aadhaar number, or the enrolment ID from the acknowledgement slip, in front of you before you call.
UIDAI updates nothing over a phone call. Anyone ringing to ask for your Aadhaar OTP is not from UIDAI, whatever they say.

1947, UIDAI's toll-free helpline, which takes enrolment, update and Aadhaar service queries in several Indian languages. In writing, use [email protected]. Keep the Aadhaar number or the enrolment ID from your acknowledgement slip ready.
1947 UIDAI ka toll-free helpline hai, kai bhaashaon me. Likhit shikayat [email protected] par bhejein, aur Aadhaar number ya enrolment ID saath rakhein.
[email protected] for Aadhaar itself. A page or link on the website that is broken goes to [email protected] instead, which is UIDAI's web team rather than its Aadhaar desk.
Both sit on the myAadhaar portal, under grievance and feedback, and neither needs a mobile number registered with your Aadhaar. File the complaint there, keep the reference it gives you, and the same section tracks it. The helpline and email take the same complaint if you would rather talk to someone.
More than you would expect. Without an OTP you can check enrolment or update status, check a PVC card order, locate an Aadhaar Seva Kendra, book an appointment, check whether an Aadhaar is valid, and file a grievance. Downloading the e-Aadhaar and updating documents do need the OTP.
Two ways: in the Aadhaar app, or in person at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra, and myAadhaar lists the fee as Rs 75. It cannot be done over the helpline. For a centre visit, book the appointment on myAadhaar first and carry your Aadhaar.
