About Slice Small Finance Bank

Slice began as a Bengaluru fintech offering card-like credit to young users, and it is now an actual bank. Its merger with North East Small Finance Bank took effect in October 2024, and the combined entity was rebranded as Slice Small Finance Bank.

That change is unusual, very few Indian fintechs have got inside the banking system this way. Customers today get savings accounts, deposits, UPI and credit through the slice app, and the bank keeps a base in Assam and the north east that came with the merger.

Its app is busiest around bill cycles, repayment dates and everyday shopping hours.
